NewTribal Collection No. 06 Soul in Color on Grey from Rug Star

Introducing a new way to experience classic design.

The distinct style of the NewTribal Collection originated as an idea to combine three of the historic rug producing regions- the borders of Iran, Pakistan, and Afghanistan- and their unique styles and signature looks of the textiles they produce. The resulting line becomes a new way to experience some designs that go back centuries as original contemporary masterpieces. The color choices that brighten these classic designs adds a new layer of pop making these iconic patterns new again.

The NewTribal No. 06 features elements that appear in tribal Qasgqaii examples from Southern Iran that we have here in our shop, some dating to 150 years ago. The pile is similar to many Afghan produced rugs in that it is lower and has a slight coarseness about it.
