#1: STAIR RUNNER IN BLUES AND GRAYS

Wondering how the custom color process plays out?
Our client was seeking the perfect stair runner for her young family’s home.

It starts with an idea...
Reflect the traditional architecture of this great old Portland home, especially a gorgeous leaded glass window on the landing, but add in something of the 21st century.
Different colors and patterns are considered, on site...
We bring along rug swatches, as well as trays full of wool and silk poms, to find just the right shades.
Careful measurements are made... and from them, an exact rendering arrives for approval.
There are opportunities to make alterations at every step. The color and pattern are tweaked, and a sample swatch ordered.
The finished pieces arrive and are professionally installed.
Our careful planning pays off! Medallions are centered on each landing to maintain balance. Gaps are intentionally left on the landing transitions for a contemporary look.
