The Wool & Silk story begins in 2010 when Turkish-born artist Erbil Tezcan combined his deep knowledge of the handmade rug industry with his love of color and design. The company has enjoyed immense success abroad and recognition from peers within the industry, such as winning nine International Carpet Design Awards.

The softness of their rugs, often using their namesake 70/30 blend of both wool and silk has to be seen as well as felt. And rather than being delicate, this signature blend produces a very resilient and hearty floor covering. Another benefit of the Tibetan knotting technique using in their Nepalese produced rugs is a soft and supple feel to the rugs that almost feels like a blanket versus a stiff floor covering.
