Heading into the holiday season, we are overjoyed to present an exhibition of recent porcelain wall art and objects by Portland artist Sally Squire, showcased against a selection of hand-knotted rugs curated by Christiane Millinger. Sally’s new forms in paper porcelain reflect her knowledge and passion for architecture, harmony, and color. Her work is largely inspired by nature and she takes pride in her curiosity and willingness to invent techniques to achieve her vision. Christiane has chosen a group of highly textural, hand-knotted rugs, including pieces by Jan Kath and Maurizio Battilossi. In a palette of Northwest neutrals, their silk and wool fibers weave an atmosphere at once elegant and casual, ancient and contemporary.
