Made using hand-spun wool and dyes produced from natural plant and vegetable sources, our authentic Gabbeh rugs are among the most holistic choices for living spaces. Part of the whimsy Gabbeh rugs are known for is the usage of small symbolic representations of things like trees, animals and plants along with other shapes such as squares of color or ancient charm-like talismans to ward off evil and promote prosperity.

The green tones used in these rugs is made using buckthorn, also called Persian, berries when fully ripe. Green tones are also made by combining the yellow dyes produced from saffron, turmeric, and unripened berries with indigo dyes as well.
