Incredible Room Sized Gabbeh in Classic Red With Very Subtle Golden Details. 

We felt extremely fortunate to be able to source one of these larger room sized Gabbeh area rugs as they are becoming harder and harder to be able to bring to our friends and clients. The rich red used in these has been made using dyes produced using the roots of the madder plant once it has reached maturity after five to seven years. The resulting red dye is renown for its intensity and colorfastness. A subtle pattern of golden yellow V shapes slightly defines the center of this piece, but over all it reads as a stunning red carpet. Great option for a dining room or a cozy living room, even in the busiest household. These rugs have been made using some of the finest wool used in rug production and their processing entirely by hand ensures that much of the natural lanolin remains intact, behaving as a sort of stain barrier. These rugs respond wonderfully to spot cleaning and an annual or semi annual professional washing returns them to like new condition, should they even require that.
