Designs similar to this contemporary produced gabbeh can be seen in some examples we have in our showroom dating back 150 to 200 years. The Garden Pattern is a classic Persian carpet design to diagram the lush gardens mentioned in poetry and other iconography of the region. The wool use is the same high quality used in more tribal gabbeh rugs, as well as the all natural dyes. This is really as close as modern rug production gets to replicating the rugs and carpets made in villages dating back into antiquity.
