These rugs have an almost quilt like appearance that has a sort of topographical storytelling quality to them. With a more abstract nod to garden design rugs, each plot of land often features symbolic representations of what one might find there. Whether it be animals like birds or deer, wavy lines for rivers or hills, and even symbols like small concentric squares which denotes watering wells.

The blue used in these rugs is made using the leaves of the indigo plant. These leaves are boiled and fermented to result in a rich blue dye that when combined with the lanolin rich hand-spun wool results in an incredible feel and sheen.
