Suzani Pattern in Light Blue Green 9x12 from Wool & Silk Rugs

Low pile hand-knotted 8x10 inspired by traditional Uzbek textiles. 

The Suzani pattern from Wool & Silk Rugs is an all wool, low shorn pile rug with a design taken from the namesake embroidery style from Uzbekistan. The series of boteh shapes, which resemble paisleys, along with the plant shapes are very common in Uzbek Suzani textiles.

Handmade in Afghanistan, the low shorn pile is easily vacuumed and creates a nice surface without the plushness common to many hand-knotted rugs. The slightly blueish green background color helps to give this piece a calming, tranquil feel.
