Vase Pattern Persian Influenced Ushak 9x12 Rug

This larger Ushak style rug combines both Turkish and Persian influences for an original take on classic rug design. 

The Vase design is sort of combination of classic Persian rug elements with a spacial relationship and palette more like an Oushak rug. The colors tend to be over-all neutral, but with some darker line work and a lovely blue grey in the border and in several of the floral palmettes. The pile height is approximately 3/8th of an inch and consistent throughout the entire surface area. Hand-knotted in Afghanistan prior to the recent changing of hands, we worked with several non-profits looking to bring Afghan rug production up to the international export level as far as quality and reliability was concerned. This is one of the pieces we were able to have produced there during this time and the quality is superb.
