The Kintsugi design is based on the Japanese traditional method of repairing broken ceramics with a lacquer mixed with gold to mend the cracks and emphasize the history of an object. Based upon a philosophy that embraces imperfection and views brokenness as unique beauty inherent to the story of an object.
