Really fun contemporary rug made with the time honored methods that make Gabbehs such incredible carpets. This larger 8x10 is hand-knotted with a purple gray pattern of stars that tesselate into a pattern against the green background. Still made with all the same naturally sourced dyes and high altitude wool cultivated from sheep that migrate along the Zagros Mountains of Southern Iran with the changing seasons. This rug was so unusual when we saw it we couldn't pass up an opportunity to bring this interesting rug to the Portland area.
