Green Landscape 3x5 Gabbeh
Fun Green Gabbeh Throw Rug With Stripes
This Green Gabbeh has a modern feel while depicting the traditonal Gabbeh subject matter of landscapes and scenes of pastorial life as lived by the migrating tribes that hand-knot them. The green dye used is made by first dying the wool yellow with thistles and onion skins, then overdying it with indigo until the desired variety of tints are achieved. Several of the classic whimsical Gabbeh symbols such as plants and deer can be seen throughout the piece.
