Wonderfully Moody Landscape with Hills, Pomegranate Trees, and Setting Sun.

One of the more unique landscapes in our Gabbeh Collection, this particular hand-knotted gabbeh shows a series of hills in blues and greens along with several symbolic pomegranate trees. The pomegranate holds a significance in the lives of many of these Kashkuli weavers and it often is a common metaphor in the poetry representing the variety of experiences within life to be savored, much like the seeds of the fruit itself.
