Garden Layout 5x7 Gabbeh
Bright and Colorful Plots of Trees and Plants Create a Patchwork of Joy.
This wonderful Gabbeh is woven by the descendants of the Qashqaii tribal weavers, hence the Kashkuli classification. This is actually a very classic Persian rug motif depicting squares representing the layout of a classic garden. Symbolic icons of various trees and plants in each one create an almost patchwork appearance not unlike a quilt or a blanket. The thick wool pile and vivid colors sourced from naturally growing plants and herbs have a deep connection to subject of this carpet and make it one of the more charming ones in our collection.
