7980 Shekarlou 2'9" x 7'
Perfect as a small runner for hall, or as a stand alone piece. Made from the some the heartiest wool, produced unchanged for thousands of years in the Zagros Mountains of Southern Persia, gives us a rug that is as luxurious as it is durable. The hand-spinning and carding of the yarns preserves much of the natural lanolin from the wool. The natural dyes sourced from madder root, milkweed thistle, indigo, and the like blend harmoniously giving the gabbeh type rugs their signature subtle variations in tones and shades. This also preserves the remaining lanolin of the wool, creating an natural resistance to the signs of wear and tear. With an occasional washing now that then, these rugs can last a life time.
