This Gabbeh is a wonderful example of the whimsical and abstract nature of the design process of these unique rugs. The uneven square shapes tesselate into a melange of colors that would look at home in a 60's Mod interior or as a tribal piece. The elements suggest buildings or gardens, but this is only known to the weaver and what they felt like making during the months it takes to create one of these one-of-a-kind works. The use of naturally sourced dyes and high quality wool makes these rugs as durable and hearty as they are energetic and unique.
