These larger sized Gabbeh rugs are becoming harder and harder to find as they just aren't made any longer in real quantities. This wonderful and whimsical patchwork style Gabbeh has an over-all blue tone and border made with predominantly real indigo dye harvested by semi-nomadic herding tribes in the Zagros Mountains. This Gabbeh has a thick hand-knotted pile in some of the plushest wool available. The design has been compared to abstract art as well as rustic quilts. We just think of it as a rare jewel we know will go to a lovely home one day.
