7418 Kashkuli Gabbeh style rug 5'4" x 7'9"
With origins traced back to utilitarian bedding items in the Zagros Mountains of Southern Iran, Gabbeh rugs have somehow always managed to feel contemporary, or even modern in appearance. The striking colors are even more fascinating when realized that only natural dye techniques are still being used to this day. The absence of mechanization in the processing of the wool results in a feel, or handle, as we like to say, that is so immensely tactile, partially due to the preservation of the natural lanolin inherent to them.
