This wonderful autumnal shaded Gabbeh features a patchwork style layout that is said to signify plots of land and the various contents of each as symbols and patterns. The plush pile is dense and feels great in the hand and under foot. The wool retains much of the natural lanolin the Zagros Mountain sheep are renowned for due to no mechanical means being used to process the wool for hand-knotting in to each gabbeh. When combined with naturally sourced dyes, the resulting carpet is as durable and strong as it is unique and gorgeous.
