Classic Gabbeh Depicting Landscape Layers and Horizon

These abstract landscapes are some if our favorites from our Gabbeh Collection. The unusual treatments of distance and perspective is a signature feature of Gabbeh rugs and this one is classic. The fields of un-dyed wool intermingle with brown and grey layers only broken up by occasional trees and small symbolic deer. The pile height is thick and plush and feels great to the touch. The lack of chemical or mechanized processing inherent to the production of authentic Gabbeh rugs preserves much of the natural lanolin, which has the added benefit of producing a wool with a hight tensile strength as well as natural anti-microbial and stain blocking properties.
