This seemly simple striped design is all hand-knotted with precision and intention to get the graduations just right and the striations of the wool the desired consistency throughout the entire piece. The raw wool is unmatched in its durability and hard wearing qualities, while remaining soft to the touch and feeling great under foot. This high altitude wool has been cultivated from sheep that have spent generations migrating over the Zagros Mountains of Iran. Both the durability and the suppleness is owed to the retention of the wools natural lanolin, which also has the additional benefit of discouraging the growth of dust mites. Truly one of the most holistic choices in flooring textiles one can make.
