Kashkuli 3x5 Gabbeh with Trees and Colorful Squares in Undyed Wool
Really cool Gabbeh depicting an assortment of colorful squares intermingling with symbolic trees and animals.
Some believe that the repetitive square design represents wells or water sources, which to the semi-nomadic weavers that produce authentic Gabbeh rugs and carpets is a symbol of wealth and prosperity. It can also be interpreted as a charm to ward off evil spirits. Either way, we love this fun Gabbeh that has almost a Scandinavian feel in its design and has been knotted in a background color of undyed wool, showing all the subtle variation seen in the sheep that produce the high quality wool used to make these whimsical and timeless designs.
